The What
Reporting directly to the Production Group Lead, the Shipper/Receiver is a dedicated resource for incoming and outgoing shipments and warehouse operations. As a Shipper/Receiver, you must be highly motivated with the ability to manage domestic and international logistics, data entry, staging and preparatory work, and loading, unloading and forklift operation.
The How
  • Assist in warehouse organization (6S), lean manufacturing, and productivity improvements
  • Maintain key performance metrics for picking, shipping and receiving heavy attachments and equipment
  • Adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices 
What we need 
  • High school Diploma or foreign equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in shipping and receiving
  • 2 years’ experience with an ERP/ MRP system (Syteline preferred)
  • Experience in heavy duty machining/manufacturing/warehouse environment
  • In-depth knowledge of shipping documentation for local, domestic and international shipments; NAFTA experience is an asset
  • Forklift and overhead crane certification with recertification and training available
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and follow company procedures
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
